I think that Rethymno is a magical city, which harmoniously combines the old with the new part of it. It is a city with infrastructure, organization and special characteristics. It is a seaside place, with a nice atmosphere and colors. When I think of Rethymnon, purple and soft pink colors come to mind, from its beautiful sunsets. I feel that I am very lucky to live in this city, I feel love for this place. Every time I think or mention Rethymnon, I get very positive, beautiful and sweet feelings, such as calm, safety.

The current image of Rethymno is quite satisfactory, as a city it is well-kept, there is service, several activities are offered to the visitor. I believe that most businessmen and residents try, each in their own way, to create a nice image. The truth is that several things are missing from Rethymno, which if they were done, tourism would develop more. Some of them are, the construction of a better road network, more parking spaces, maybe it would be useful to make better use of some areas/parts of Rethymno, so that a more photographic image can be offered to visitors.

I think a tourist should choose Rethymnon for vacation, as there is safety, cleanliness, it has enough historical places to visit, it has beautiful landscapes, alleys, magical beaches, nice taverns with very tasty food. The important thing is that the people in Rethymno, from the shopkeepers/entrepreneurs, to the locals are very hospitable and make you feel comfortable. Certainly anyone who comes to Rethymnon deserves to take a walk in the old town and visit the Castle of Fortezza.
